To be eligible to access the Early Years CPD training programme your place of work or study (for instance setting, school, childminders home, college) must be within North Yorkshire .

PLEASE NOTE: Our course code system has changed, if the course code you enter onto the website doesn’t bring up that particular course then please try as follows:

MU.019.01.SC would be MU.19.01.SC
SN.101.04.RR would still read the same.

Training programme

The NYCC professional development database providing a comprehensive listing of training courses and conferences for teachers, school support staff and early years practitioners working in North Yorkshire LA schools. We welcome applications for courses from colleagues in independent schools and schools in other LAs. However, please note that where courses are advertised as free or subsidised (sometimes with supply paid) this applies to North Yorkshire LA schools only. Please contact CPD Section if you need clarification on fees for non LA schools. Thank you.

Support Workers in Schools - SWiS

"Free Training"
This Qualification is designed to meeet many support staff roles including Mid Day Supervisors, Site Staff, Learning Support, Special Educational Needs, School Administrators, Library Assistants, Data Managers, Technicians, IT Support and Learning Resources.

Learning Zone

The Learning Zone is a free to use online learning site that will give schools access to a wealth of learning materials including e-learning, DVDs, reference material and pocket books etc. It is provided by North Yorkshire County Councils Learning and Development department who can be contacted on 01609 532814 or by emailing learninganddevelelopment@northyorks.gov.uk if you have any queries.
